croissant-doughnut hybrid developed by Dominique Ansel 

in New York City Soho.

The CRONUT ( croissant-donut) is made from thin layers

of flaky croissant dough that are deep fried, rolled in sugar,

and then filled with light flavored cream. Chocolate ganache

or glaze thinly coats the top layer.

 If you've read all the rage about these at a bakery and began drooling,

now you can enjoy these without going to New York!! Yum!!
